blending perfumes

Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) is in the geranium family (Geraniaceae). The plant is native to South Africa and exported to Europe, probably in the seventeenth century. Since there are hybridized and re-exported to various French and British colonies around the world. Now, geranium oil does not come from the hybrid plants that stinky have all year in our yard, but from the "geranium Rosey". Today is an important geranium oil to the mixture in the perfume industry, often used as a substitute in place of rose oil – which is why it is sometimes referred to as the "poor man stood up." Most oil comes from the island of union © ra, east of Madagascar, but is grown throughout the world now.

Traditionally geranium has been used since ancient times for skin care, dysentery, hemorrhoids, inflammation and excessive menstrual bleeding. Also used for diarrhea and peptic ulcers. We find geranium oil today to have a calming, uplifting and strengthening particular effect on the nervous system. This oil is very useful in treating menopausal symptoms as hot flashes and vaginal dryness. It is an effective treatment for dysentery or gastroenteritis. The oil can be diluted with a carrier oil and rubbed on the abdomen for gastrointestinal disorders. Geranium helps promote blood circulation and promotes normal liver function. Geranium Oil is most famous for its properties of skin care and is good for clarify oily skin. Geranium is particularly useful if you feel "stuck" and afraid to go to the next stage in life. For emotional healing, Geranium is used to promote comfort, fit, regeneration, balance, security, tranquility, stability, and the feeling of being calm, protected and pampered.

Geranium acts primarily as a general tonic for the body and mind. Anti-fungal and is especially useful for menopausal symptoms. This is mixed well with lemon, grapefruit, lavender, rosemary, Roman chamomile, peppermint, clove, sage, ginger, palmarosa, ylang ylang, sandalwood, mandarin, juniper, cypress, bergamot, fennel, frankincense, orange, jasmine and rose. Geranium oil can be diffused, used in steam inhalation or topical application, either directly in the body or diluted with a carrier oil or lotion and rubbed on the body. On security, the geranium is nontoxic, non-irritant and generally non-sensitizing. Want Read more about the healing properties of geranium and other essential oils?
