Removing Perfume Smell From Clothes

By admin, November 24, 2009 9:26 am

How do I remove the very strong perfume smell from clothing that has been given to me?

They have been washed and rewashed and repeatedly rinsed. Washing and soaking in borax, vinegar, unscented soaps, etc. hasn’t gotten rid of the smell. Neither has hanging clothing outside in the sunshine. Why detergent makers think consumers need so much perfume in their soaps, I would like to know, especially with the allergies that so many people have.

martha stewart said 100 proof vodka spritzed on mildewed stuff kills it immediately so maybe it will work on perfume. good luck
