Benzaldehyde is found in perfume, cologne, hairspray, laundry bleach, deodorants, detergent, Vaseline, shaving cream, shampoo, bar soap and dishwasher detergent. It can have the effects of a local anesthetic or CNS depressant and can cause irritation to the mouth, throat, eyes, skin, lungs, and GI tract, causing nausea and abdominal pain. It has a possible relation to kidney damage.

Benzyl Acetate is found in perfume, cologne, shampoo, fabric softener, air freshener, dishwasher liquid and detergent, soap, hairspray, bleach, after shave and deodorants. A possible carcinogenic, (linked to pancreatic cancer) the vapors can irritate the eyes and respiratory passages.
