Perfume Makes
Does anyone know what ingredient makes a perfume ‘stick’?
I am embarking on a perfume experiement, I have a smell that I like, but the problem is I don’t know how to get the smell to stick so that it does not fade away quickly. It is an alcohol based (perfumer’s alcohol, not vodka) vanilla perfume. What do I need to add for longetivity?
If it is an oil I need to add, what would be the best one to use, and how would I blend it so it does not separate from the alcohol and/or water?
I researched this question and the oils in perfume are what makes the fragrance last longer. As the day goes on it wears off. One place on your body that the smell will last the longest is the hair. Your hair assorbs the scent and releases it slowly. Also spray the back of your neck and your hair will touch it adding more scent throughout the day. This came from an online article, I hope it helps.
