Perfume Jasmine Notes
What scents remind you most of spring?
Also, what perfumes do you think are the particularly ideal for spring wearing?
Personally, when I catch the faint smell of the japanese cherry blossoms in the air and see the pink petals floating in the air, that’s when the season really sinks in. The scent of citrusy bergamot, sweet iris and rum also have the same effect!
Every spring I love wearing Carthusia’s Mediterraneo, Annick Goutal’s Eau d’Hadrien and Creed’s Silver Mountain Water.
I’ve also just recently discovered how gorgeous of a scent Creed’s Virgin Island Water is, which on only a handful of wearings has helped put me in a cheerful mood through the day! The way the citrus, coconut, jasmine and ylang ylang notes play together keeps the fragrance interesting and invigorating!
When I lived in HK, I used to walk up to the ‘peak’ in the morning and the scent of orange blossoms played in the air to make the climb easier. Now I live in Australia, franjipani trees are everywhere and also have a heady, sweet scent. My favourite smell which I found by mistake is burning lichen. When having a bonfire one day, I threw some old fallen limbs from a bay laurel tree onto the fire and the scent was heavenly. It is my favourite smell ever – musky and mysterious. I like the musk scents but the only scent I use is sandalwood (to deal with external negativity).Creed’s Virgin Island Water sounds beautiful. I will tell my daughter about it.
I’m so glad you’re starting to experience warmer weather over there now. People are always happier when the sun shines. Take good care Phil.
